Bio"They call me the working man. Yeah, that's what I am."
Well, the short form is that I was born and raised in Central Ohio and went to college in Indiana for a couple of years. I found that I was not able to comprehend simple physics and computer programming, even though higher mathematics and chemistry were a breeze, so I came back to Central Ohio and graduated from The Ohio State University, summa cum laude, in Linguistics.
After this, I decided to take a break from school (stupid-ass me) and work for a while before heading back. Well, to fast forward a bit, I got engaged and moved out to Pittsburgh to help support my fiancee through graduate school. The engagement was up, then down, then up, then down, and back in December, 2005 we broke up. The funny thing is, we get along better now than when were dating. The most recent dramatic change in my life is that I'm now happily taken by a lovely woman from Akron. Ask me about her.
Since I updated this last, I moved back home to help support my parents. I know, that sounds terribly glamorous, but I get along with them quite well, and I give them money and pay for a fair amount of things so it's my way of giving back. I'm glad to be able to do this, and to get some time with them in their waning years. That move made a grand total of five moves in three years... I still feel a little shaken up over all the damned moving, so I'm here for a little while longer I think.
I just realized that this information is a little out of date as far as what I do for a living. I am currently a specialized trainer for a major insurance company based out of the Northeast. I am officially lucky enough to now work from my home, which is far too awesome. I can stumble out of bed, stumble down the stairs, and flop in my chair wearing a bathrobe and fuzzy slippers. This, truly, is a bit of a reward for listening to providers complain on the phone to me all day long. I also tend to travel on a moderately regular basis, so I have been known to spend a couple of weeks here and there in Bismarck, ND or Blue Bell, PA teaching special claims knowledge to the elite of the masses. I've mentioned other places that I'm considering a career with this company for the first time really since I've worked here. I still want an advanced degree of some kind, so we'll see where the wind blows.
I post sporadically, sometimes going weeks without a real post, sometimes I'll post every day for a week or more... It's a crapshoot I tell you. If you dig, then welcome. If you want, add me, and let me know and I'll add you back. If you don't like this thing, then good for you too and leave me the hell alone. Who wants a hater in the crowd?
For those who are interested, the main picture that I use is of my ex's cat perched ass-front on my shoulder, with its tail curled around my forehead. It makes me look like a) a dork, b) a futuristic tribesman, or c) a combination of the two. The picture has also been compared to a squirrel running around on my head, or perhaps a hippie toupee, neither of which is the case.
